What is kept. Your name or class label, your date, time and place of birth, an optional note, and your account's username and password hash. The kundali itself is never stored — it is recalculated from those details every time it is opened, so a correction to the engine reaches every chart at once.
Why exact birth data. A chart cannot be cast without the minute and the place. That same precision is what makes it identifying, which is why this site is private, password-protected, and kept out of search engines.
Who can see it. Charts you save are visible to you and to the superuser (Kavita). A teacher account can read the library so charts can be discussed in class. Other students cannot see your charts. If you use the shared class login, everything saved under it is shared by everyone who has that password — use your own account if that matters to you.
The class label. Anyone other than you sees the label you choose — “Student 14” — rather than your name. Use it whenever you would rather not be named on a screen in a classroom.
Access log. Every chart opened, saved, changed or deleted is recorded with who did it and when. That log is how a misuse question gets an answer rather than a shrug. It holds no birth details, and it is deleted after a year.
Deleting your data. Your own charts have a × in the library — that removes them immediately and permanently. To remove your account as well, ask Kavita. Deleting an account does not delete its charts; ask for both if that is what you want.
Where it lives. On a private server, over HTTPS, behind this login. It is not sold, not shared, and not used for anything but this course.
